Sweet Street optimises ergonomics and workflow

Moving away from manual and repetitive material handling

The American bakery manufacturer Sweet Street produces a wide range of cakes and desserts — and knows that great products start with great people.
To support their workforce and streamline production, the company wanted to eliminate the repetitive and physically straining tasks that were causing back pain and sick days among employees.

In their production line, heavy baking pans and ingredients were previously lifted manually from large containers placed on the floor — a process that was both time-consuming and ergonomically poor.
To optimise the workflow and protect their employees, Sweet Street introduced a Logitrans Rotator, designed to lift and tilt containers to a comfortable working height.

The Rotator allows operators to adjust the container height and angle, ensuring an ergonomic working position throughout the process.
It has significantly improved comfort and efficiency — and since its installation, no work-related injuries have been reported.

“The Rotator has really improved our working environment. Our employees experience less strain and more comfort, and the production flow has become smoother and faster.”
