The Danish company, Odense Marcipan A/S, needed a solution to handle and empty VEMAG carts carrying large batches of marzipan and unload them onto their production line.
The 250 kg heavy VEMAG carts had to be handled and transported multiple times a day in an ergonomic and efficient manner. Some of the VEMAG carts also needed to be lifted and tilted to empty their contents onto the production line. Handling the VEMAG carts was a physically demanding task for the employees, who manually pushed the low carts around and unloaded the marzipan onto the production line – a static movement that caused back injuries and general strain on the workers.
This manual process was replaced by a fully electric Rotator with forks, specially developed for handling VEMAG carts. The Rotator lifts and rotates the VEMAG carts, making the workflow more efficient and allowing employees to empty the carts while avoiding awkward and straining movements.
